Sweetcorn can be sown in modules in mid-late April and planted out and fleeced four weeks later once frosts are not a threat - after 15th May.

Sow 8 modules with 2 seeds in each module, 1-2cm deep, and thin out later.

We will grow sweetcorn in a 120cm x 60cm block with plants 30cm apart in each direction.  They will be planted next to your plot neighbour's sweetcorn to give a 120cm x 120cm block. Block planting is said to improve germination.

We will need to have a system to keep off the badgers!
