Welcome

Exmouth allotments are owned by Exmouth Town Council and consist of approximately 420 plots split between two sites.

The site at Hamilton Lane has 300 plots of various sizes all on level ground and includes eight raised beds designed for disabled gardeners. They are near the road for easy access, have wide flagstone paths and share a communal shed.

The smaller site at Pound Lane has about 120 plots of various sizes. It is on the hillside and most plots are sloping with wonderful views over the town to the Exe estuary.

A committee of plotholders run both sites and organise social events. These have included barbeques and trips to gardens in the South West.

Each site has a shop selling a range of basic gardening supplies at reasonable prices. Volunteers open the shops for a few hours each week. The shop is also a good place for getting to know people, for asking advice and finding out what’s going on.

We welcome new members of all ages and abilities. You don’t need to be an expert gardener, just ready for a bit of work. Other plot holders will always be willing to show you how they do things and we hope the website will also give you lots of ideas and information.

We have a range of different sized plots, so you can take on what you feel you can manage.

Most plots have access to water taps and there is a mains drainage toilet on each site.
