It can be a challenge for the committee to know if someone is ill or struggling for whatever reason to maintain their plot.

This means the work on a plot can quickly get overwhelming and site co-coordinators may just think it is a case of neglect needing remedial action. We would encourage anyone who is concerned about a neighbour, particularly if they have not been seen for sometime, let someone from the committee know and we can follow this up as they may need some support for a time. Occasionally people move away and give up a plot but don't say anything. Its far easier to step in and re let when the plot is in a reasonable state as well as being easier for a  new plot holder. Sometimes agreeing to reduce the size of the plot to a manageable size works wonders so share your concerns and be a good neighbour!
